How much does kill switch and GPS tracker installation cost?
Packages start at $699, including the Trackhawk device, concealed installation, app setup and testing. The vehicle and installation complexity determine the final price. The tracking subscription is separate.
What is the difference between installation and Nero Pulse?
The installed Trackhawk system is hardwired, hidden in the vehicle and includes a remote kill switch. Nero Pulse is our own plug-in OBD II tracker: you install it yourself in seconds, it covers GPS tracking, trips, alerts and supported diagnostics, and it does not include a kill switch. Compare them.
Where do you install the system?
We do not have a walk-in storefront. Installation is by appointment only in Dearborn Heights, Michigan, and we confirm the drop-off details when you book. We welcome customers from Dearborn, Detroit, Livonia, Southfield, the rest of Metro Detroit and beyond. You do not need to live locally.
How long will you need my vehicle?
Most installations are completed within one business day. Some vehicles require additional time.
Will it work with my car?
Compatibility depends on the year, make, model and electrical system. Send your vehicle details through the form above. We do not perform EV high-voltage work.
Will the GPS tracker or wiring be visible?
The system is hardwired and installed in a concealed location. Hardware placement depends on the vehicle; we do not publish installation locations.
Is there a monthly fee?
Yes. Trackhawk currently lists $22 per month or $216 per year per vehicle. The subscription is separate from installation and is required, along with cellular coverage, for live tracking and remote commands.
Can the kill switch shut off a running engine?
It depends on the installation. A starter circuit can prevent a future start; a fuel-pump, ignition or similar circuit can stall a running engine. Never activate the immobilizer while the vehicle is moving or the engine is running.
Does a kill switch guarantee theft prevention?
No system can guarantee theft prevention or recovery. A hidden kill switch and GPS tracker add immobilizer control, location information and alerts to your vehicle’s security.
What does the warranty cover?
Corsa Nero provides a six-month warranty on installation workmanship. Trackhawk’s hardware and subscription are covered by the manufacturer’s own terms.
